Nokia Appoints Jae Won To Lead Its Business In Asia Pacific And Japan

Jae will oversee all of Nokia’s Networks business and operations in the region spanning the diverse territories of Japan, Korea, Oceania, and the fast growing South East Asian countries.

Nokia has announced the appointment of Jae Won as the Head of Asia Pacific and Japan, effective 15 October 2018. In his new role, Jae will oversee all of Nokia’s Networks business and operations in the region spanning the diverse territories of Japan, Korea, Oceania, and the fast growing South East Asian countries. Jae, who was most recently Vice President of Market Development for Nokia Asia Pacific and Japan, will be based in Singapore.

A veteran of more than 20 years in the telecommunications industry, Jae has been with Nokia for over ten years where he has held several senior management positions in business development, pre-sales, sales, and country management. Jae has hands-on experience leading Nokia in Japan and Korea and was credited with establishing Nokia’s depth and reach in the world’s most advanced mobile broadband markets.

Commenting on his new role, Jae said, “Asia Pacific and Japan is an exciting market that is full of opportunities. I look forward to growing our footprint in this region while continuing to deliver innovative solutions that will help Communications Service Providers become Digital Service Providers, and enterprises to offer value-added products and services to their customers.
