Dubbed party of the year by those anticipating this entrepreneurial geek-fest of partygoers, KL’s Largest Start Up Party was all it was made up to be – fun, drinks, dancing and schmoozing!
With 300 tickets snapped up within 8 hours of launch, it was no wonder that KL’s Largest Start-Up Party started with a long queue checking in at its venue – the most exclusive nightclub in KL – Kyo, Mandarin Oriental last night.
Brought to you by Drinkentrepreneurs Malaysia, the event was co-hosted together with key communities from the Malaysian startup ecosystem such as Techstars, LinkedIn, World Startup Festival, Founder Institute, Seedstars Asia and Found8 among others – and marketing partner BEYOND 99.
A laid-back yet high-spirited evening of socialising with like-minded people over a drink, old relationships in the entrepreneurial scene were rekindled while new connections formed among like-minded members of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Attendees ranged from startups (Fave, iflix, dahmakan, PurelyB, Carsome, Policy Street, Common Ground, Buddyz, Zachary Haris Ong & Associates, etc.), venture capital funds (Global Founders Capital, Gobi Ventures, Captii etc.), government agencies (MDEC and MaGIC), accelerators (ScaleUp Malaysia, 1337 Ventures etc.) and professionals.
It was a night to remember – a social gathering of everyone from the start-up community; a single space to let loose among those who know what the trials and triumphs are, of starting a business.
Drinkentrepreneurs is an event company, who prides itself in creating a trusted community for the start-up ecosystem to learn, share, grow and unwind. Lingesh Thayala and Ganesh Mahendranathan, founders of Drinkentrepreneurs Malaysia, will tell you that the Malaysian ecosystem loves its parties, because, the Malaysian chapter of this 40+ city event that started in Paris, is the largest in the world! That is measured by the 61 events they have run since launching.
As the premiere after-party organiser for leading tech conferences such as Echelon, Wild Digital Conference and Malaysia Tech Week, Drinkentrepreneurs Malaysia (presence in 7 cities) has grown in prominence over the last 5 years with Kuala Lumpur being the largest global chapter with a membership base of 15,000!
Initially launched in Paris, DrinkEntrepreneurs has since gone global, with events organized in 40 cities such as Shanghai, London, San Francisco, Buenos Aires, Hong Kong and our very own Kuala Lumpur.
