Global Sports Brand, adidas Names Mad Hat Asia For adidas Originals

Mad Hat Asia to lead PR charge for adidas Originals in Malaysia

Lifestyle sportswear, adidas Originals has appointed Mad Hat Asia to manage public relation duties in Malaysia for a period of six months in 2020. Mad Hat Asia, who was appointed to lead all communication efforts in Malaysia, driving the brand’s presence and consolidate efforts to focus on bringing the brand’s story to the forefront. 

Angeline Chandran, General Manager at Mad Hat Asia said, “After working with the adidas team in 2019, we are inspired by adidas’ forward and energetic approach to marketing the brand. We will be focusing our efforts on unconventional approaches towards content creation and social media engagement for the brand in 2020.”

Mad Hat Asia was first appointed in June 2019 to work on a series of campaigns for adidas Originals, including OZWEEGO (ERA 2), FW19 R.Y.V (Raise Your Voice), FW19 EQT Gazelle, FW19 Home of Classics. The agency will support adidas’ direction for the first half of the year in developing engaging and trendy content to audiences as the brand strives to stay ahead in the market and region.  

Mad Hat Asia’s client partners include Discovery Network Asia-Pacific, Heineken Malaysia, Strongbow Apple Ciders, Cadbury, Viu Malaysia, Ben & Jerry’s, Magnum, Rexona and Jotun Malaysia to name a few.
