Following the overwhelming support for the initiative to help single mothers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic during the recent Movement Control Order (MCO) and Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), a group of popular celebrities, Celepets, are taking the initiative a step further.

Celepets members Sazzy Falak, Aishah Sinclair, Daphne Iking, Dynas Mokhtar, Serena C, Yasmin Hani, and Atilia Haron have now established Celepets Care, a platform to help underprivileged women survive through difficult times.

With the mission Membantu Wanita Kurang Mampu dengan Keluarga Yang Bergantung or Helping Marginalised Women with Dependent Families, the seven concerned celebrities hope that Celepets Care will be able to alleviate the burden carried by underprivileged women.

In an effort to prove that the Celepets’ concern is taken seriously, a virtual press conference was held and the platform was introduced to the media. The virtual press conference was attended by all the Celepets beauties along with sponsors and media partners who have supported the charitable cause. Celepets Care has officially started donation and sponsorship collection from corporate entities as well as private individuals since 20 May 2020 and will continue until 30 July 2020. The distribution of all the donations collected from this initiative will be channeled to underprivileged women on 15 August 2020.

The charitable efforts of the Celepets were met with strong support from Kita Fund who is providing the main platform to collect donations to be received through the program. To further promote Celepets Care, every member of Celepets will be doing their part on their social media platforms to ensure that more people would be able to donate.

One of the promotional efforts is a special weekly digital show, attended by the Celepets stars themselves, to also provide information and details to anyone interested to donate through the Celepets Care platform, encouraging more sponsors or donors to contribute and support the cause.

Celepets Care has also partnered with Ministry Of Marketing.Asia who has curated a special program – Power To Empower Product & Brand Awareness Show: SME Edition – to ensure the smooth sailing of this project. Not to forget, Kindness Malaysia which has for the umpteenth time cooperated with Celepets especially in handling logistics matters and support management for the women in need.
