Ex-TV personality and teacher, Nura, is the owner of Pearlista. A female-only hair salon that she has built from scratch without any background experience. Pearlista offers a wide range of hair styling services and also produces its own line of products such as shampoos, conditioners and makeup remover wipes. Nura impressively achieved to physically expand Pearlista at other prime locations and today, it is at Eunos, Clementi & Orchard. Apart from business, she’s a seasoned Real Estate agent with Propnex since 2012.

Nura’s parents’ expectation has led her to start her career in education as a teacher. Due to motherhood, becoming a realtor was the only sensible option for a work-life balance. Along the way, she discovered an opportunity in the beauty industry with hair, where she herself found it difficult to find a Muslimah salon online.

Together with her husband’s support, the couple went all in with their ideas which found them becoming the pioneer in the halal beauty industry today. What’s impressive is how she juggles all three – realtor, Pearlista & Motherhood!

In this episode, we talk more about her early days, entrepreneurship journey, motherhood and more.
