Get To Know Evan Tzivanakis, Coach And Founder Of Chesterfield Business Group

Helping entrepreneurs and leaders unleash their true potential.

Hey there, Evan. You’re the founder at Chesterfield Business Group, a coach and a global thought leader. You help entrepreneurs and new leaders unleash their potential, by facilitating the most educational, energetic and transformational business coaching solutions. Before we go further, tell us about yourself.

What’s your journey like to get where you are?

Studied in Switzerland and the UK, and so far, I have lived and worked in 8 different countries (Greece, Switzerland, Germany, UK, Cyprus, Singapore, Australia and Malaysia). That gave me the opportunity to work and cooperate with people from different backgrounds and cultures. This helped me both on a personal and work level. I opened my first company in the UK, at only 21 years of age and has been immersed in the business world for over 15 years.

I believe that all human beings are given a certain family set up, certain strengths, certain weaknesses (or inabilities), certain income, certain role, certain place in the society. What a person does with his or her life and its setup is entirely up to him or her.

Let’s talk a little about Chesterfield Business Group.

The Chesterfield Group is a global group of companies which operates in 2 countries: Greece and Malaysia. In Greece weown and run a boutique hotel and in Malaysia a Coaching and Consultancy business which provides its services across the APAC region as well as in the Middle East. It is really exciting, challenging and at the same time energetic, running and managing two businesses across two different continents. The Coaching Business specializes in 3 areas:

1. Entrepreneurship and Business Coaching.

We help entrepreneurs or business owners start or improve their business. If you think having your own company is risky, well, try having a job! There is no such thing as job security.

People used to take a job with the hope and expectation of staying in the job for a while, but then somebody in a conference room many time zones away would make a decision and the job would go. In our fast-changing world of today, your job can disappear anytime.

Whether you work in a small company or in a multinational enterprise, jobs are disappearing and layoffs keep happening daily! Today is the best time to start a business.

In this age, there are so many different types of businesses available for you to start. There are franchises, outsourcing, freelancing, affiliate marketing, online businesses, and so many more! That’s because it is now easier and cheaper than ever to start your own business. No longer is starting a business only for the ultra-rich who can afford massive investments and millions in capital. Why is that? It’s all because of the internet! With the internet and mobile apps, the whole world is your marketplace.

2. Leadership Training and Development in The New Normal.

We help entrepreneurs or newly promoted leaders, to learn how to lead and to practice real and not text book leadership. The need for Leadership in the new normal, is more important than ever. The corona-virus has shaken the nature of work to its core. While many are still anxiously awaiting a return to normal, what’s “normal” after the pandemic is likely to look very different from what we were used to before it began.Leaders need to move from crisis response to thinking about the role of organizations and leadership in the longer term. For leaders, the challenge of guiding people through uncertainty and into the new reality brings timeless needs into sharper focus. Crises like the one we are facing today force businesses and their leaders to change and adapt at extraordinary speed.

Those that can filter out the noise and focus on what truly drives success, leading with head, heart, and hands, will emerge stronger than ever.

Our Leadership Development Training Program empowers leaders in bringing out the best in themselves and others by exploring the most critical success factors of strong leadership that will help them bring their people together, motivate, energize and inspire them to their full potential to achieve extraordinary things.

3. Sales Training in the New Normal.

We help sales professionals, entrepreneurs or organisations, increase sales while at the same time keep customers happy. The old style of selling is not applicable anymore. We don’t give sales scripts, we rather train sales professionals and entrepreneurs to communicate effectively and persuasively.

Our sales training program coaches and guides participants uncover the right skill set and mind set a professional communicator must have.

From controlling conversations with customers to asking the right questions to uncover customer’s needs, this program will enhance people’s ability to connect better with customers, overcome objections and close the sale confidently and effectively delivering commercial and sales objectives.

It’s no surprise that your passion lies in helping entrepreneurs and new leaders unleashing their potential. As a coach, how do you ensure that you continuously blend in innovation and creativity in your programmes?

By being a transformational coach, not an information coach. I believe in transformational, not in informational coaching/training.
Google or YouTube can do the information. You can simply type ‘’how to…(something)’’, watch and learn.

IN-FORMATION training/coaching has minimum impact.

TRANS-FORMATIONAL coaching on the other side, has the primary goal of empowering you to discover the answers for yourself. The process it is more profound because it transforms you in the process.  TRANSFORMATION = changing formation.

It is more right-brained, emotional and spontaneous. Transformational coaching is more fun, more challenging (for the coach and the coachee) and more stimulating.

You apply what you learn to your own experiences and arrive at conclusions that lead you to your own unique discoveries and improvement. And that’s exactly what we deliver throughout our coaching; transformation, which means improvement.

What has been your biggest challenge as a coach, Evan?

My biggest challenges as a COACH had shifted a lot ever since Covid-19 had arisen. Previous to the Movement Control Order (MCO), some coaches had as mission to ignite the inner self, to explore and un-discover their potential – be it as leadership or business entrepreneur.

After MCO, the new normal situation requires more effort to re-structure a coach business into a new way that can customise wider board spectrum ways to assist smaller to medium size businesses. A huge shift of a focus requires more holistic planning into a bigger eco-system as a coach.

Aim to build a bigger sustainable eco-system that can directly impact the current PAIN point in market.

Re-Think, Re-Design, Re-Direct
Re-Think towards a new eco system
Re-Design my coaching syllabus
Re-Direct my students and customers into a New Normal

What advice can you give in terms of business and/or marketing to the aspiring entrepreneurs and leaders out there?

Sure, here goes. 1. Find your niche. It is easier to find your potential customers, it is easier for potential customers to find you. Potential customers will know what you stand for. By being a specialist means you can help others in yourspecific niche with your specific knowledge. By being a generalist means you want to fill as many gaps as possible in order to fill your pockets. 2. Don’t expect your staff to work harder than you. Its your business, not theirs. 3. Understand that there is no holy grail to success. 4. Hire slow, fire fast. 5. Have a ‘’why’’. It will help you during challenging times.

When it’s all over, how would you like to be remembered?

As a son who made his parents proud, as a faithful husband, as a role model father who supported his kids as much as possible, as a Coach who helped 1 million people transform and improve their business, their life, themselves.

For those who wish to get in touch with you, what is the best way?
