Singapore, November 12, 2024 – J&T Express, a leading global logistics provider, achieved a remarkable milestone by handling over 100 million parcels in a single day during this year’s Double 11 festival. This achievement underscores the company’s operational capacity and commitment to service, fueled by growth across China and Southeast Asia.
A Record-Breaking Double 11 Season
During the traditional peak shopping season, J&T Express witnessed unprecedented parcel volumes across its global network. Between October 20 and November 12, the average daily volume in China reached nearly 66 million parcels—a 25% increase from last year. In Southeast Asia, daily volumes surged by 73% year-over-year, surpassing 15 million packages between November 1 and November 11.

We will continue to invest in infrastructure and resource allocation across various markets, focusing on network optimization and service enhancement.”
Strategic Preparations Ensure Smooth Operations
Anticipating a record-breaking demand, J&T Express implemented infrastructure upgrades and resource expansion across multiple regions. In China, 32 sorting centers were renovated, expanding the company’s ability to handle high parcel volumes with precision. J&T Express upgraded over 600 hubs, adding more than 400 automated systems to boost operational efficiency.
Southeast Asia saw similar enhancements, especially in Vietnam, where J&T opened its largest sorting facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology, reaching a 99.99% parcel handling accuracy rate.
In Thailand, J&T expanded its network by upgrading four sorting centers and five distribution hubs, deploying automated equipment and expanding capacity. This included a 19,000-square-meter area expansion, 900 additional transport vehicles, and a 3,800-strong workforce.

J&T Express Looks Beyond Asia with Strong Growth in Latin America
Beyond Asia, J&T Express has also invested in Latin America, where parcel volumes have spiked, particularly in Brazil and Mexico. Ahead of the upcoming Black Friday peak on November 29, J&T has scaled up infrastructure and human resources in these regions, upgrading automated equipment to meet the rising demands of consumers.
