In a world full of uncertainties and things and situations beyond our control, at times it is best to just focus on what we can take responsibility on.
Our self-talk affects the way we perceive and interact with everything and everyone around us. So whether things are actually working out for you or not, know that these are all based on your conscious choices stemming from your set of beliefs and experiences.
In a world full of uncertainties and things and situations beyond our control, at times it is best to just focus on what we can take responsibility on: Our intimate conversations with ourselves.
These intimate conversations, when channeled positively, can allow us to rise above any situation on hand as we discover our own #bestmeever in the process.
I have always had this practice of utilizing positive self-affirmations at the beginning of each and every single day so as to ensure that my desired state and mindset are activated accordingly before even starting my day.
After saying my usual prayers and expressing my gratitude, I would get up and face the mirror and say my affirmations, while feeling each and every one as if they’ve manifested in my life already.
This is very critical though when saying your affirmations to yourself — you must actually believe them. So make sure that you allow yourself to declutter your mind, find your center and speak from within.
Say it. Feel it. Be it.
Allow me to share with you 5 of my daily positive self-affirmations, which you may be able to relate to as well:
“I AM WORTHY”
Time and again, because of previous experiences, we doubt ourselves about being deserving of the best things in life. But truth be told, we are. Each one of us deserves to live life based on our own standards, and not based on the judgment or bias of anyone else. With all of us created equal, it is important to remember that thriving and reaping the rewards of one’s hard work, is all a matter of choice. Don’t let anyone else make you feel otherwise. Your dreams are given to you for a reason. Go for them! Well-deserved.
“I AM GOOD ENOUGH”
Your best will always be more than enough. As long as you give each and every task on hand your all – all that you are and all that you’ve got — that is all that matters, regardless of the result. Don’t let others intimidate you. Focus on your own growth. Choose to grow at your own pace, as you own your space.
“I AM BEAUTIFUL”
The thing that we should remember is that we should be our own kind of beautiful. Never let your insecurities get the best of you. Know that your imperfections make you unique and special. Embrace yourself wholly, flaws and all. Apart from making you beautiful inside and out, it also makes you very inspiring for others to follow suit.
“I AM SUCCESSFUL”
Define success in your own terms. As for me, I have redefined it as having enough time and means to do all the things I want and be the person I am meant to be. Celebrate your little wins. Set goals and be happy and mindful of your progress. At the end of the day, know that as long as you feel happy, complete and fulfilled – you are successful in your own right.
“I AM LOVED”
Knowing each and every single day that I have people who genuinely love and support me, I become more and more inspired to do better and achieve more in the process. Same goes with you — know that you are never alone. Somewhere out there, someone really believes in you and completely adores you for who and what you are. So continue to journey on with faith that people (and the Universe) have your back. We all do.
You may have your own set of positive self-affirmations and that’s totally ok. Just remember to make it a habit to continuously affirm yourself so that no matter what happens, each and every day will always be on a positive note.
And that’s one beautiful self-conversation starter indeed at any given point in time.
