Global culinary icon Chef James Won and his business partner, Scott Lim has collaborated with Beatnk and REBL as their communications partners for the launch of their newest venture, bouchon Enfin. The appointment covers an integrated communication comprising of strategic and creative communications, influencer management, and digital and social media.
Inspired by the concept of restaurants in Lyon, France, that are known for their convivial atmosphere and family-style dining, Chef James Won intends to make French cuisine more accessible for Malaysians through bouchon Enfin by combining the best of contemporary French cuisine with top quality Malaysian ingredients.
“One of the best ways to connect with Malaysians is through food and we are extremely excited for Malaysians to experience the beauty in our endless combination of French and Malaysian cuisine at bouchon Enfin,” said Chef James Won.
He added, “leveraging the nature of the collaborative approach from our agency partners definitely complements our restaurant’s beliefs, perfectly. Our aim at bouchon Enfin is to not only provide wholesome comfort food to the table but to also encapsulate the many cultures and heritages of what our country has to offer. They help us truly understand a true love for all things local on top of the varied expertise that comes with it.”
With their commitment to celebrate all things local, bouchon Enfin shows their support for homegrown enterprises, Langit Collective to supply locally produced agricultural products from East Malaysia such as rice, golden coral snails and peppercorns. These ingredients are then delicately incorporated into the dishes at bouchon Enfin such as the Wild Rice Bowl which is made by a mix of ‘beras’ Salleh and Rumie from the highlands of Sarawak. The effort continues with the alluring installation and mural made by a renowned and Internationally-known graffiti artist from Sabah, Kenji Chai.
In the effort to meet the current demand of food deliveries, bouchon Enfin now offers menu made exclusively for deliveries and takeaways which showcases how this eatery is constantly looking at different ways of modifications to ensure it meets the needs and wants of their customers. From their array of pastas and burgers to Bengali Grilled Cheese Toast, these items are now available to fulfil Malaysian’s endless cravings.
“We were all stunned when the government announced the enforcement of the Movement Control Order (MCO), just as fans were starting to enjoy our plates on a daily basis. In spite of that, we took an opportunity to bring out the best of the current situation and to reintroduce bouchon Enfin in a different light whilst staying true to the core of the brand,” said Tanner Nagib, Co-Founder of Beatnk and Strategic Advisor at REBL.
Taking the MCO head on and in sync with #kitajagakita mantra, bouchon Enfin moved forward with providing those in need with a breakfast sandwich made available daily at Pavilion and was launched simultaneously as the MCO 2.0 was enforced. “We believe that with the enforcement of MCO, many Malaysians are struggling financially especially those who belong in the B40 communities and by extending a helping hand, even the smallest gestures could go a long way. So the next time you drive past and see the team, honk in #suppork!,” said Chef James.
Tanner expressed, “We have the utmost respect for those who has assured us faith in humanity and I’m elated to be working with brands who has this embedded in them. We definitely hope to be able to whip up more collaborative ideas in the near future.”
This collaboration sees Beatnk as the lead in strategic communications and creative directions supported by Roshambo and Jillian Toyad, with REBL Malaysia in all social content and strategic components and for influencer marketing is supported by Komaci.
