McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific announced the appointment of Shilpa Sinha as its new Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), succeeding Richard McCabe who is set to relocate to Europe. Shilpa, who transitions from Europe, brings extensive international marketing and strategic experience from her roles in India, the UK, China, and Russia, among others.
Before relocating to Singapore, Sinha has made remarkable strides in the industry working with top agencies and brands including Grey, FCB, and Ogilvy. She served as the Head of Strategy and Transformation for McCann Moscow before its operations in Russia were ceased in 2022. Moreover, her impressive career features a blend of high-ranking roles in brand management at Unilever and strategic planning leadership at renowned agency networks such as IPG and WPP.

Sinha’s vast experience spans diverse industries, having cultivated leader and challenger brands across beauty and personal care sectors at Unilever, P&G, Beiersdorf and L’Oreal, food and beverage giants like Mondelez, Coca-Cola and Nestle, in addition to telecommunications, financial services, retail, entertainment, and luxury automotive industries.
Thrilled to return to Asia, Sinha expressed her excitement about her new position, stating, “After eight years away, I am excited to be back in vibrant Asia, one of the significant growth engines in the dynamically evolving world order. It’s amazing to have the opportunity to move within the McCann Worldgroup family and work on our incredible brands. I’m really looking forward to hitting the ground running.”

McCabe had made valuable contributions to major clients, including Coca-Cola, Mastercard, Cigna, Pernod Ricard, Nestle, and L’Oreal. Harfouche added, “We wish him all the best with his move and thank him for his contributions to the network. I’m so excited to have Sinha move back to our region and know her global experience and emphasis on effectiveness will add significantly to our client work.”
Sinha’s appointment follows McCann Worldgroup’s recent bolstering of its Southeast Asia leadership team, which included promoting Charlie Lowe to the newly-created regional role of Chief Strategy Officer, and the appointment of Aishah Haroon as the Director of Client Services and Operations across MRM Singapore and Hong Kong.
