Renowned South Korean instant food producer, Samyang Foods Group, has introduced a fresh corporate identity and logo. The firm, previously held by Samyang Naturals Co., will henceforth operate under the banner of Samyang Roundsquare, as reported by The Korean Economic Daily.
The fresh moniker reflects Samyang’s novel objectives of delivering critical nutrients for life and the future, while preserving its traditional ethos of innovation and challenge. This rebranding is an integral part of the company’s broader plans to diversify its business portfolio swiftly.

The company’s chosen name signifies its updated vision, and embodies the two brand principles of challenge and innovation. The title “Samyang Roundsquare” seamlessly weaves together the company’s core principles. “Samyang” is symbolic of enriching the heavens, earth, and humanity. “Round” encapsulates the concept of food that satisfies both physical and emotional hunger and unites people. “Square” corresponds to the scientific approach the brand employs to boost the quality of life through ingenuity and order, as reported by ET News.
With this rebranding, Samyang hopes to spur its burgeoning sectors to realize optimum growth and solidify its global market position. The brand also plans to launch a campaign promoting continuous improvement (CI) in the latter half of 2023.
This announcement trails the news that Samyang will be investing 3.412 billion won in its Indonesian subsidiary, Samyang Foods Indonesia. The aim of the investment is to escalate the sales of the Indonesian firm by setting up a sales corporation there. The completion of the acquisition is anticipated by April 30.
With Indonesia accounting for 30% of Southeast Asian exports, Samyang has made a strategic move. To cater to Indonesia’s majority Muslim population, Samyang Foods obtained halal certification from the Indonesian Ulama Council for its products in 2017. From then on, Samyang has only exported products with MUI certification, effectively enhancing its local presence and expanding its customer base.
