Apple is set to enhance the Vision Pro’s virtual keyboard by introducing 12 additional languages, hinting at the tech giant’s readiness to venture beyond the US market. This expansion suggests that the innovative mixed reality headset could soon debut in key markets across Asia, Europe, and North America.
Expected to launch before the June Worldwide Developers Conference, this update aligns with Apple’s ambition to extend its international presence. According to MacRumors, who discovered the new languages through code analysis, the Vision Pro initially supported only English (US) and Emoji, indicating its sole availability in the United States. The introduction of new languages marks a significant step towards making the Vision Pro accessible in various global markets. The languages slated for addition include:
- Cantonese, Traditional
- Chinese, Simplified
- English (Australia, Canada, Japan, Singapore, UK)
- French (Canada, France)
- German (Germany)
- Japanese
- Korean
These additions pave the way for Apple to launch the Vision Pro in countries such as Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and the UK, with potential availability in Hong Kong and Taiwan. While Apple previously hinted at plans to expand the Vision Pro to more countries later this year, specifics were not provided. However, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that Apple’s expansion of the Vision Pro market will occur before the Worldwide Developers Conference in June.
