KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 16 — As the digital frontier continues to shape how we consume media, Netflix is taking a bold step forward by offering its fans more than just a digital viewing experience. The streaming behemoth is gearing up to launch its first-ever brick-and-mortar retail space, “Netflix House”, turning the dream of immersive fandom into a reality.
Retail Ventures Beyond Streaming
By 2025, fans in the United States will get to experience the magic of “Netflix House”, a venue where they can seamlessly transition from binge-watching to binge-shopping and dining, all inspired by their beloved shows. The idea is to let viewers physically immerse themselves in the universes of their favourite Netflix series.

A Glimpse into ‘Netflix House’
Netflix’s VP of Consumer Products, Josh Simon, unveiled the features of this innovative initiative in a recent chat with Bloomberg. At these locations, enthusiasts will not only shop and dine but also engage in various activities based on blockbuster shows. For instance, a challenging obstacle course inspired by the global sensation, “Squid Game”, awaits the daring.
Moreover, each “Netflix House” will continually refresh its attractions, showcasing rotating installations and ticketed events. True to its essence, there will be restaurants offering food and drinks reminiscent of renowned Netflix series.
Building on Previous Successes
This isn’t Netflix’s maiden voyage into the world of experiential offerings. Past ventures, such as “The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience” musical tours and the “Netflix Bites” pop-up restaurants, have already given fans a taste of real-world interactions. These events, which featured offerings like Stranger Things-inspired dishes and drinks, were massively successful, hinting at a promising reception for the upcoming “Netflix House”.
Global Expansion on the Horizon
While the initial launch of “Netflix House” will be confined to the US, plans for its global expansion are already in the pipeline. Given the significant viewership of Netflix in the Asia Pacific, it’s anticipated that the region might be one of the first beneficiaries of this expansion.
