Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) is teaming up with Visa. Together, they are focusing on enabling eCommerce for micro, small, and medium enterprises.
They are committed to nurturing micro-SMEs. A new digital commerce training program is launched, named ‘Accelerate My Business’ (AMB). Through this, they aim to increase the adoption of digital disbursement solutions. It will help micro-SMEs explore better financial literacy and more significant financing.

The training will be in two modules. It aims to digitize the knowledge of 750 chosen BSN micro-SMEs. They will be empowered for their next business phase. The training consists of 27 sessions in 13 different locations nationwide. It will run from August 2023 to March 2024.
In the workshops, micro-SMEs will learn essential entrepreneurial skills. They will cover business management, financial literacy, operational efficiency, and digitalization strategies. AMB’s learning platform will provide practical guidance. It includes interactive activities, worksheets, and supplementary materials.
BSN’s CEO, Jay Khairil, emphasized the community’s needs. BSN is diversifying its offerings to various segments. They are integrating financial education with services for access to vital financial insights. This partnership with Visa aligns with BSN’s aim to drive digital transformation.
Visa Malaysia’s country manager, Ng Kong Boon, considers micro and small businesses crucial. Visa and BSN share a common goal. They want to empower enterprises with tools to uplift their businesses.
Visa’s leadership saw changes in April. Chris Clark became chairman for Asia Pacific. Stephen Karpin succeeded him as regional president. Clark is now supporting regional initiatives and driving Visa’s market expansion.
