Renowned Corporate Affairs Agency Accelerates Sydney Expansion
Bastion Reputation, a leading agency in corporate affairs, is gaining new momentum in its Sydney operations with the noteworthy appointment of Sally Taylor, a former senior media advisor for the NSW Government. This move is part of a strategic expansion that demonstrates the agency’s ambition to deepen its footprint in the New South Wales market.
An Enviable Track Record
Taylor joins the Bastion Reputation team as a Senior Communications Strategist, carrying with her a rich reservoir of experience accrued over the last six years in governmental roles. Prior to this, she had successful tenures at notable agencies like The Media Store and TLA Worldwide. Taylor has served in high-ranking capacities for the NSW Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Early Childhood Education and Education, as well as the Minister for Agriculture and Western NSW. Her résumé also includes campaign work in the office of the Deputy Premier during two election cycles.
What Attracted Taylor to Bastion Reputation
“The dynamic and diverse nature of the work here at Bastion Reputation was immediately appealing to me, as was the range of skills and experience my new colleagues bring to the table,” said Taylor of her latest career move. She continued, “My previous roles have given me an understanding of how to navigate complex issues in the media and create strategies that help tell a story to achieve a positive outcome. I’ve joined Bastion at a really interesting time when it comes to the media and political landscape in Australia, so I can’t wait to see how we can leverage that for our clients. It’s great to be back in agency land after my time in politics and I’m really looking forward to making a positive contribution to the Bastion Reputation team.”
New Appointments Underline Firm’s Growth Trajectory
Taylor’s appointment is a follow-up to the firm’s recruitment of Tess Salmon, an experienced senior communications leader, as its first Sydney-based Principal Consultant earlier in January. Taylor will be working in close collaboration with Salmon and another consultant, Kaysia Thompson, thereby expanding Bastion Reputation’s Sydney team to three strong members. The agency is currently in the process of seeking an Associate Principal Consultant to accommodate its burgeoning client list.

The Future is Bright for Bastion Reputation’s Sydney Team
“We are excited to welcome Sally to our growing Sydney team where she’ll work closely with Tess and our other consultant Kaysia Thompson, to continue building on our solid client base,” enthused Clare Gleghorn, Bastion Reputation’s Managing Director. She added, “Sally’s recent government and media experience, coupled with previous time in agencies are a great addition to our team and we are already seeing the benefit after only a few weeks in the role. We are also looking to add an Associate Principal Consultant in Sydney to meet the demands of our growing list of Sydney and New South Wales-based clients so it’s an exciting time for our team and clients.”
This strategically timed appointment sets the stage for what promises to be an invigorating phase in Bastion Reputation’s Sydney operations, signaling auspicious prospects for both the firm and its clients.
