Changi Airport and Shilla: A Continued Partnership
Changi Airport Group (CAG) has announced a four-year extension of Shilla Travel Retail’s (Shilla) tenancy for the Perfumes and Cosmetics Concession. This extension, effective from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2028, encompasses 22 outlets and a sprawling 7,700 sqm of retail space throughout Changi Airport’s four terminals.
A Journey from 2014
Shilla’s association with Changi Airport began in 2014 when they secured a six-year contract for the Perfumes and Cosmetics Concession through a competitive tender. This contract saw an extension that lasted until 2024.
Rising from the Pandemic
The global travel industry faced unprecedented challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, this tenancy extension symbolizes the resilience and commitment of both CAG and Shilla. Their shared vision is to ensure that passengers continue to enjoy a top-tier beauty retail experience as travel volumes surge back at Changi Airport.
A Fresh Wave of Brands
With this renewed partnership, Shilla is set to revitalize Changi Airport’s beauty segment. They plan to introduce 20 fresh brands to their existing lineup of 130. Noteworthy additions include Lancaster’s premium skincare, Rituals’ lifestyle and wellness range, the revolutionary skincare solutions from Augustinus Bader, and Singapore’s very own Apripure, known for its natural skincare offerings. Additionally, shoppers can anticipate fragrances from the esteemed French perfumery, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, and the much-acclaimed makeup brand, Kylie Cosmetics by Kylie Jenner.

Shilla, in collaboration with beauty industry partners, is geared to enthrall travelers with unique Changi 1st pop-up experiences and product launches. They also aim to offer captivating omnichannel shopping experiences both in physical stores and on Changi’s e-commerce platform, iShopChangi.com.
Since their partnership’s inception in 2014, Shilla and CAG have unveiled several pioneering retail stores. These include the world’s inaugural airport beauty duplex store in Terminal 3, featuring the luxurious Shilla Beauty Loft, and an innovative walkthrough retail concept in Terminal 4, which brilliantly merged beauty and liquor categories.
