CTOS Data Systems, the frontrunner credit reporting agency in Malaysia, recently concluded its “Raya Kaw-Kaw with CTOS” contest, a competition organized to appreciate consumers for their conscientious credit health monitoring. Between 13th March to 14th May this year, consumers who purchased their MyCTOS Score report, correctly answered three simple CTOS Score-related questions, and composed an imaginative slogan were eligible to win a variety of attractive prizes.
Diverse Prizes Rejoice Malaysians
This contest marked CTOS’s most extensive consumer giveaway to date, with a whopping 105 prizes available for the participants. More than 140,000 consumers tried their luck, with prizes ranging from e-Grab vouchers and Touch ‘n Go eWallet Reloads to the grand prizes of a Proton Exora 1.6T Executive CVT car and Yamaha motorcycles.
Winner’s Stories – A Testament to the Impact of Good Credit Health
The grand prize winners embodied the true spirit of the contest. Yep Pui Yee, a mother of two and a marketing professional, was ecstatic about her windfall, “My husband and I were just checking our CTOS scores to keep abreast of our credit health. Imagine how surprised we were when we found out that we won a car! This is quite a windfall. We are planning to sell the Proton Exora to help fund our children’s further education overseas.”

The second grand prize was scooped up by Samsul Bahri Bin Zulhakimi, a public servant and father of two. “The win could not have come at a better time as the family motorcycle was getting old. We also kept checking the weekly and monthly winner lists. We were so surprised when we heard we won the second prize. We’ve won small cash prizes before, but this is our first time ever winning something big. This is only the second time I’ve checked my credit score but it has improved a lot and securing loans will be easier.”
Sim Hong Geok, the third grand prize winner and a software engineer, was equally thrilled. ““I’ll be using my prize to travel close distances to run errands and buy food. I check my CTOS score roughly once a year because I feel that knowing my credit score gives me more control of my life and finances.”
