A Brief Introduction to the World Expos

Ever since the first World Expo in London, 1851, these events have sought to accelerate the rate at which global cultures embrace each other. In other words, World Expos present a platform for people from all over the world to represent their cultures while communicating with other cultures. The goal is to find the middle ground that we all share as humans.
Dancing, as an example, may differ from culture to culture; ballet is definitely not Afrobeat dancing, but they’re both forms of dance that are meant to bring people closer to each other. By gathering world cultures together, the Expos presents a unique opportunity for fostering understanding and love among people from all over the world.

Dubai Expo 2020 is marketed as one of the biggest events (if not the biggest) events in the Middle East; it’s certainly the largest one. Dubai World Expo 2020 is a significant milestone in the history of Dubai as a modern city and UAE as a wealthy nation. The wealth of the UAE shows up at its best in the buildings that were dedicated to the Expo; they cannot get any fancier.
The building of Expo 2020 is one of the monuments that future archaeologists and anthropologists will really appreciate, given all its cultural significance and grandiosity. The building is centralized around Alwasl plaza that is surrounded by three main thematic districts, called “Opportunity, Mobility, and Sustainability.”
And of course, the theme of this expo is “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.” With such two goals as the driving force of the expo, it would be expected to have an upbeat turn, which is exactly what everyone needs after the COVID-19 pandemic: more hopeful vibes all over the world.
192 countries are participating in the Expo. Each of the participants will have a special pavilion in the three districts. For example, Singapore’s Pavillion is located in the Sustainability District, the Pavillion of the USA and Morocco are both in the Opportunity District. As for the events of the Expo, there’s everything from children’s activities and shows to serious philosophical discussions about the latest issues in the world and how to potentially solve them, there’s everything that piques interest in Expo 2020. Music and dance (art generally) are an integral part of the expo.

Why you should consider visiting the Dubai Expo?
Basically, if you have some cash that you saved for a vacation after the lock-down and still haven’t decided where to go, you should definitely consider going to Dubai to attend some of the events of the Expo. Aside from the Expo, UAE is one of the fanciest places on earth that you can visit. The Expo just makes the idea of going there more interesting.
Personally, I would love to go just to attend all the great music shows. I know how much I love to fall into trance with the help of world music. There will also be many spiritual and Muslim musicians there, which makes it more interesting. If you like to widen your perspective about the world without visiting each country separately, Expo 2020 is your go-to.
