Genesis, the renowned energy provider, has unveiled its latest campaign, spotlighting its School-gen programme. This initiative, having already served the community for over 16 years, offers complimentary STEM teaching resources to primary schools throughout New Zealand.
The New Campaign: Fostering the Next Generation of Kiwi Innovators
The brand-new film segment presents George introducing viewers to her school. The narrative unfolds as we witness George and her peers passionately delve into the realms of science, technology, engineering, and math – all under the banner of the Genesis School-gen programme. It begs the thought: among these young minds, who will rise as the next influential Kiwi trailblazer?
Genesis’s commitment to STEM education emerges from a recognition of the future job landscape in New Zealand. The brand comprehends that an extensive fraction of forthcoming roles will necessitate prowess in STEM fields. Being a Kiwi business that employs a multitude in STEM positions, the company is zealously invested in shaping Aotearoa’s future by engaging the youth – rangatahi – in these pivotal subjects.
The Journey with George: Bridging Emotion with the Brand
Since its inception in June 2022, this marks the fifth instalment from Genesis that features the lively George and her close-knit family, each episode shedding light on different Genesis offerings. This series has not only captured the hearts of New Zealanders but has also fortified their bond with the energy titan, Genesis.
Stephanie Fahey, Head of Brand at Genesis, commented, “George and her family have been incredibly well received by Kiwis, helping to build an emotional connection and an engaging narrative that is generating strong results for Genesis. Care is at the heart of the Genesis brand and we’re proud to have a long record of supporting New Zealand schools through the School-gen programme.”

We’re really excited to be adding School-gen to the suite of George stories and share the great work Genesis do in New Zealand schools with the whole country.”
All-Encompassing Campaign Outreach
Genesis’s integrated campaign is not confined to just one medium. Instead, it will span across television, radio, out-of-home (OOH) advertising, digital platforms, and social media, officially launching its wave on 15 October.
