It’s a recognition of the Filipinos on LinkedIn who, despite having their own challenges during these difficult times because of the COVID-19 crisis, continue to show up on LinkedIn to inspire, to motivate, to tell their stories, and to share their expertise by consistently posting their own content, engaging with other people’s posts and building meaningful relationships.
This year, we had 343 nominees. 217 qualified based on the criteria, and only the top 100 with the highest number of followers made it to the final list.
Here are the criteria:
- With at least 1,000 followers
- Actively posting content on LinkedIn in the last 3 months (as of the time of the process)
- Should have been nominated by at least one Filipino LinkedIn member

The Top 100 initiative is a celebration
A celebration of the Filipino voices on LinkedIn, the world’s largest network of professionals.
LinkedIn already has nearly 800 million members, and 10 million are from the Philippines. And the number of Filipinos continues to grow every single year.
So through this initiative, we want to celebrate the voices of fellow Filipinos who are active on the platform and my hope is to encourage more Filipinos to be on LinkedIn and start creating opportunities for themselves and for others.

The Top 100 Filipinos on LinkedIn is a community-driven initiative that aims to elevate the Filipino LinkedIn community through inspiration and learning.
As a community, we use the platform not only to attract opportunities for our own careers or businesses but also to help others attract opportunities for themselves.
Together, as a community, our goal is to help each other ELEVATE the Filipino LinkedIn community through inspiration and learning.

LinkedIn is the best B2B platform there is. It empowered me to share my message on a global scale (and Neuroscience resonates globally, especially with the Mental Wellness challenges caused by the Covid crisis).
And it allowed me to connect and grow communities with like-minded professionals. The language of “Science” is universal in its acceptance and appreciation, so much so that the Covid crisis has actually opened my Coaching & Training Business to multi-disciplinary and cross-cultural clients.
LinkedIn also provides a huge community for sharing and learning. And it returns the power to the individual whose message is value-adding and relevant. Before LinkedIn, the “traditional way” of marketing would have involved having to go through numerous “Gatekeepers”. Now, the messaging could be done directly.
