HP Inc. plans to make its newest line of products in India so it can better serve the Indian market. India is a crucial market for HP, according to CEO Enrique Lores, who noted that there are still opportunities for growth in this market. As part of the government’s “Make in India” programme, HP already produces a variety of PC products in India, including laptops. Lores stressed that the business will expand its manufacturing presence in India to meet domestic demand and, in the long run, see India manufacturing as a way to enhance their ability to serve the rest of the world.

In the fourth quarter and for the entire year 2022, HP had more than 30% of the Indian PC market (excluding tablets), according to the most recent data from the international market research firm Canalys. To contribute significantly to India becoming a hub for global manufacturing, the company is diversifying its manufacturing operations across a range of goods there. According to Lores, the company will continue to invest in India, which has always been one of their main international markets, as it presents a significant opportunity.
