Nomination Criterion

Open for all CxOs from companies registered in Malaysia 


● For 2023, it will be a combination of nominations-based and selected by the MIA panelist.
● To be considered for the MIA CxO 2023 For Malaysia, the individual must meet any of the following criteria:
▪ Working in the Malaysia-based or Malaysian-owned company
▪ Hold a CxO, Director, or Head of Department position.
▪ Report directly to the Chief Executive Officer or Managing Director in a Malaysian company
▪ Active online, with regular and inspiring social media posts, or other forms of content creation.
▪ Have at least 500 followers on all social networking platforms combined. 

Who is a CxO

The term "CxO" refers to C-level executives who hold leadership positions within a company, overseeing an independent function or department, and reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer or Managing Director. These roles include Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Chief Sales Officer (CSO), Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Chief Development Officer (CDO), Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), and Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), among others.


The specific titles and responsibilities of CxOs may vary depending on the company's industry, size, and structure. Some are titled Directors and Head of Department too.

Nomination Process

There are three ways a CxO can be nominated. CxO can nominate directly, MIA Panelists can directly select and nominate the CxO and colleague of CxO can nominate them for the recognition.
