Piyush Goyal has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of IndiaCast, a collaboration between TV18 and Viacom18. Goyal has been active in the media industry for over two decades and has extensive experience collaborating with major media entities like Star TV, Network18, NDTV, and DEN Networks.
Before joining Star India, Goyal was the Executive Vice President & Head of Key Accounts, handling relations with major Multi-System Operators (MSOs) and Direct-to-Home (DTH) providers. He has been part of multiple strategic initiatives that have significantly influenced the Indian media environment.
As COO of IndiaCast, Goyal will have a close working relationship with the heads of Network18 Group’s TV News, Entertainment and Sports divisions. He’ll answer directly to Managing Director Rahul Joshi.
Goyal expressed his enthusiasm about his new role, saying, “I am extremely thrilled and look forward to spearheading IndiaCast. It’s a homecoming for me at IndiaCast after 10 years.
