An Experienced Powerhouse in Public Relations
In a strategic move aimed at fortifying its already robust communications team, Think HQ— the renowned positive change agency—has welcomed Thom Landers as its new Group Account Director. Landers is set to lead the company’s Melbourne PR arm, lending his extensive industry expertise to Think HQ’s specialized teams, which include strategy and insights, creative, production, CultureVerse (specialists in multicultural engagement), and the First Nations unit.
With a career spanning over 15 years in the public relations sector, Landers is an alumnus of Edelman, where he ascended through the ranks for six and a half years across the Sydney and Melbourne offices. His diversified roles at Edelman encompassed positions such as Account Director, Senior Account Director, and Associate Director. Prior to this, Landers also had impactful stints at Thrive PR and Haystac.
Integrating Purpose with Expertise
Jen Sharpe, Founder and Managing Director of Think HQ, was effusive about the new hire. “I’m very excited to have Thom Landers on board. Thom Landers began his illustrious career at Bang PR in Sydney, where he spent four and a half years before transitioning to M&C Saatchi PR in London when the firm acquired Bang PR in 2012. Expressing his enthusiasm for his new role, Landers said, “In this next chapter of my career, I was seeking a role that allowed me to focus my comms experience on work that is purposeful and creates a positive social impact. Think HQ is such a unique agency model and offering, its growth and trajectory are testament to the appetite more and more clients have to do some good in the world. I’m so in awe of the team’s passion, smarts, and kindness – this is going to be a fun ride!”
Landers will directly report to Alice Suter, Think HQ’s Group Head of PR & Events.
