In a strategic move to enhance its digital and eCommerce initiatives across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, global audio equipment manufacturer, JBL, has enlisted the expertise of First Page Digital. The decision culminated from extensive discussions aimed at aligning the agency’s understanding of JBL’s brand vision and formulating a detailed plan of action.
The senior director of JBL’s Asia Consumer Marketing in the APAC region and Japan, Lee Yee Ling, shared insight into the partnership. According to him, First Page Digital’s distinctive combination of global reach and boutique-style tailored solutions are exactly what JBL needs for its business growth and digital expansion.

Nick Bell, the founder of the Superist Group, which oversees First Page, offered a glimpse into what makes the agency stand out. He emphasized the agency’s commitment to understand clients’ challenges and devise strategies that can effectively address them. Bell further explained, “We have a performance-first approach, as opposed to a one-size-fits-all approach across the region.”
This ‘performance-first’ approach has yielded successful results in past partnerships with high-profile clients such as Bayer, McDonald’s, Changi Airport Singapore, and Uber.
Last year, Harman International, the parent company of JBL, transferred its global ad responsibilities to Havas Group. The agency’s mandate was to deliver a fully integrated solution converging brand strategy, creative, content, media, production, selective support in social media, and influencer marketing. This was aimed at elevating the JBL brand to the next level of consumer activation.
One such significant campaign under Havas’s supervision was the ‘Rap your gift’ audio gifting portal launched on Earth Day. It was a sustainability initiative, advocating reduced use of gift wrapping paper and promoting more sustainable gifting practices, particularly among younger demographics.
As JBL marches ahead with First Page Digital as its new digital and eCommerce agency, the APAC region awaits a more digitally enhanced JBL experience.
