The National Informatics Centre (NIC) chose Reliance Industries Group to set up its national cloud services at the National Data Centre in Delhi, Pune, and Bhubaneswar. Jio has already started running cloud services in Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar. Indian cloud partners were invited to submit proposals for managing NIC cloud solutions under Meghraj 2.0 by NICSI. To improve the NIC’s national cloud infrastructure and enable multi-cloud services, they were looking for a system integrator.

Jio won the contract, and as a result, it will create a multi-cloud orchestrator. Set up a unified cloud management platform, and provide secure cloud services to government users. In addition to national data centres, NIC/NICSI has established 30 mini data centres in state capitals. To address the growing demand for data centres brought on by the government’s e-government initiatives and people’s rising expectations for online services. Numerous hosting services, such as collocation, bandwidth, shared hosting, dedicated servers, disaster recovery, and physical hosting, will be provided by these facilities. Jio will run and maintain the cloud service for five years. In addition to commissioning, setting up, and integrating various ICT components to enhance the NIC National Cloud.

IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS are just a few of the services that Meghraj provides. That can be used to host websites, portals, online programmes, and mobile programmes. Users can create a disaster recovery plan and access the services from various locations thanks to this.
