The street Jalan Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur has been turned into a runway for the “Koleksi Raya LazLook” fashion show by Lazada Malaysia. This show was made because fashion was one of the most searched-for topics on Lazada Malaysia during its 11th birthday sale all over Southeast Asia.
Shopping for fashion items on eCommerce platforms
More than half of consumers in Malaysia (53%) use the eCommerce marketplace to find the right products. Some of the most important factors when making a purchase are prices (74%), discount offers (69%), and reviews (47%).
Festive Collections from Renowned Homegrown Fashion Brands
With Hari Raya coming up soon, the show features holiday collections from more than 10 well-known Malaysian fashion brands. This gives Malaysians a chance to find new ideas for the upcoming holiday season. The brands include Naelofar, Petit Moi, Rico Rinaldi, Poplook, Zucca, Cynthia Tang, Gene Martino, Zoe Arissa, Bayu Somerset, and TATO Shop.
Livestreaming the entire event
The fashion show turned heads at the country’s busiest crosswalk and was livestreamed on LazLive and broadcast across Lazada Malaysia’s social media channels. Pedestrians along Jalan Bukit Bintang were also able to catch the livestream on various digital out-of-home LED screens along the road, including CuBIG billboards and The Cube at Bukit Bintang.
Collaboration with Renowned Designers and Homegrown Brands
Malaysians use both online marketplaces and physical stores, according to Alan Chan, CEO of Lazada Malaysia. This is as a result of eCommerce becoming the top method for product research and discovery.
