LingoTalk, an Indonesian-based education technology company and leading language learning platform for schools, announced it has received initial funding from Iterative Capital and Eduspaze, followed by several angel investors from the Asia Pacific region. The amount of funding received for this round is undisclosed. The investment will be used to enhance the LingoJunior product and acquire more primary schools as clients across Indonesia.
The company was founded by two graduates from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), with the mission to take part in advancing the education quality in Indonesia. Their newest product LingoJunior is transforming the way children learn language through a fun and engaging learning pathway. LingoJunior gives schools the entire language curriculum for students, which also includes a Learning Management System for teachers to track progress, grade homework, and add learning plans. Parents could also easily track their child’s progress through LingoParent features.
“At LingoTalk, we believe that a child’s story begins on day one and acknowledge the importance of giving them the learning opportunities to unleash their early potential. With the backing of our investors, we plan to refine the product and expand our reach to primary schools in Java and Sumatra Island”, Andre Benito, Co-founder and CEO of LingoTalk.
To date, LingoTalk has partnered with more than 150 schools in Indonesia to help them improve the language learning quality index and equip teachers with better teaching tools. In the remaining months of 2022, LingoTalk will focus on working with schools, education institutions, and parents to uplift children’s language learning journey through innovative and impactful methods.
LingoTalk was part of the recent EduSpaze Accelerator cohort, so the funds received are also a form of support and trust from Eduspaze to jointly improve the education quality index in Southeast Asia, especially in Indonesia.
“LingoTalk has identified an important area within the Indonesia education system where they can help improve and impact the learning and lives of many people through their platform. We are delighted to be able to work alongside and support their growth.” Alex Ng, Managing Partner of Eduspaze.
