Ankit Porwal, a key figure at L’Oréal for over a decade, is set to begin a new chapter in his career journey. The erstwhile General Manager of eCommerce for the SAPMENA region at L’Oréal will now assume the role of Division General Manager for the Consumer Products Division, leading operations in the Malaysia and Singapore cluster. Porwal’s new role will see him reporting to L’Oréal’s Country Managing Director of Malaysia and Singapore, Tomas Hruska.
With a career trajectory extending over 11 years within L’Oréal, Porwal is no stranger to the multinational cosmetics company’s workings. Prior to L’Oréal, he spent six years at Colgate-Palmolive, moving from Senior Area Sales Manager to Customer Marketing Manager and finally, Senior Brand Manager. His journey at Colgate-Palmolive across India and Thailand contributed significantly to his reputation as an industry titan.
Ankit Porwal joined L’Oréal India in 2012 and has since made substantial contributions to the organization’s omni-channel strategy and eCommerce acceleration. His responsibilities have included leading cross-functional teams and shaping a future-ready beauty tech organization aimed at driving digital transformation.

Recent notable campaigns include the cross-platform launch of L’Oréal Paris Glycolic Bright and Beauty Passport, as well as the regional campaign “Brighter Skin, Brighter Days”. Key eCommerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok have been instrumental in these endeavors. This news comes in the wake of Lex Bradshaw-Zanger’s appointment as the Chief Digital and Marketing Officer (CDMO) of L’Oréal SAPMENA, effective May 1, 2023. Bradshaw-Zanger, with a wealth of international experience, will bring a renewed focus on key strategic capabilities such as e-commerce, consumer engagement, and data analytics to the SAPMENA Zone.
Shelly Chiang, the previous CDMO of L’Oréal SAPMENA, assumed the role of Chief Digital and Marketing Officer and Head of Corporate Affairs and Engagement for L’Oréal Taiwan on April 1, 2023. As a founding member of the SAPMENA Zone Management Committee, Chiang successfully integrated a diverse team of digital marketing, eCommerce, data, consumer and market insights, and media experts, forming a robust new function.
