The test prep company Utkarsh Classes, based in Jodhpur, and the edtech company PhysicsWallah signed a long-term joint venture (JV) agreement to grow their businesses and services. By working together, the two startups will be able to use their different strengths to enter new markets and help students with many different kinds of exams. Both businesses have numerous YouTube channels for various exam types. On its main channel, Utkarsh Classes has more than 11 million subscribers, while PhysicsWallah has more than 9.7 million. Through their apps, they also assist over a billion students.
Through the joint venture, the two companies will be able to sell educational products with the same name. PhysicsWallah will also be able to provide study materials for Utkarsh classes. Additionally, they will collaborate to offer academic training and a range of course offerings. While PhysicsWallah will broaden its reach by opening more Vidyapeeths and scaling up in all-India competitive exam categories, Utkarsh Classes will continue to lead the expansion of the government test preparation category and open offline centres in 32 cities across India.

Additionally, the businesses will introduce a brand-new category called “Utkarsh Private Jobs” to aid in preparing students for their placements in the private sector. In order to maximise technological advancements for Utkarsh Classes and help the company develop the mechanism for the delivery of study material, PhysicsWallah will draw on its technology team of more than 300 engineers. The founders of both businesses have humble beginnings and are aware of the difficulties facing students as they prepare for their futures. Their “Student First” policy seeks to address more significant issues in the educational field.
This joint venture is a fantastic illustration of how businesses can work together in the edtech sector to take advantage of one another’s advantages and give students better value and education. We can hope to see more of these collaborations in the future, which will enhance learning for students all over the world.
