Dave Bowman has been named Publicis Groupe ANZ’s new Chief Creative Officer. This is a newly created position that aims to drive innovation and creativity that inspires on a larger scale. Bowman, who was previously Google’s APAC Head of Creative, is going to bring a new way of thinking about creativity to ANZ while building an inclusive creative culture across all of Publicis Groupe’s agency brands.
The Move to Elevate Creative Productivity Across Groupe
Natalie Lam, Publicis Groupe’s Chief Creative Officer for APAC and MEA, expressed her excitement to work with Bowman and elevate the creative product across the Groupe in ANZ. She characterised him as a distinctive, contemporary creative leader with combined experience from the media and agency worlds. She also commended Bowman for having a true grasp of what brand building means in the modern era.
Michael Rebelo, CEO of Publicis Groupe Australia and New Zealand, agreed with Lam. He pointed out that Bowman has a lot of experience with marketing transformation, such as starting an agency and being in charge of the creative product for one of the biggest digital media platforms in the world. Rebelo stressed that Bowman’s skillset is precisely what the Groupe has been searching for to take their 20-plus media, creative, tech, and digital agencies to the next level.
Partnership with Creative Leaders and Agency Teams
Bowman’s promotion shows that Publicis Groupe is committed to building a culture of creativity and moving the group forward. He will work with the creative leaders, media agency teams, digital and CX agencies, and client leads to put together a team that works well together and includes everyone.
