Bajaj Auto plans on coming out with the first CNG-powered motorcycle in the entire world by the end of the next quarter. This is in line with the initial aim but before the calendar year ends, says Rajiv Bajaj, the Managing Director of the company. “Bajaj CNG motorcycles could achieve the same fuel savings as Hero Honda,” he stated in an interview with CNBC-TV 18.
Rajiv Bajaj spoke in detail about the CNG motorcycle having reduced fuel and operating costs by 50-65%. What is more, the new vehicle would have a very much lower effect on the environment than internal combustion engine vehicles. It has recorded very impressive data so far in terms of emissions. It includes a cut of half in CO2; a cut of three-fourths in Carbon Monoxide and a cut of almost ninety percent in non-methane hydrocarbon emissions.
The company will also launch the “biggest Pulsar ever” very early in the financial year 2025, Bajaj said. Very honestly, we are firing on all cylinders right now, and I think more importantly, our approach for our brands like Pulsar is super segmentation rather than premiumisation, Bajaj added. The 125cc Plus segment is very much the company’s focus, and it’s almost launching every fortnight, he said.
