Flipkart is set to undergo significant team restructuring following the departure of its Head of New Business and Senior Vice President, Adarsh Menon. Known for his commendable leadership skills, Menon is leaving the e-commerce giant to pave his own entrepreneurial path. As a response to this development, Kalyan Krishnamurthy, Flipkart CEO, plans to realign the team to maintain operational efficiency.
Menon, an ex-employee of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), was brought onboard at Flipkart in 2015. For the past 10 months, he was instrumental in steering Flipkart’s new ventures such as Shopsy, Cleartrip, and ReCommerce. Before this, he served as SVP and Head of Wholesale and Walmart India.

Menon assumed the role of Head of Business in July 2022 when Prakash Sikaria, a senior executive, was contemplating his departure, though he ultimately chose to stay with Flipkart. Menon’s prior experience includes an impressive 11-year stint at HUL where he excelled as the General Manager for West India.
Krishnamurthy, in his address to the employees, emphasized that the firm would reallocate Menon’s responsibilities among different leaders to ensure focus. Consequently, Hemant Badri will now oversee the re-commerce organization, Amitesh Jha will handle Shopsy, and Ajay Veer Yadav will be at the helm of Cleartrip.
Furthermore, Pranav Tiwari has reportedly joined the company as an SVP, further supplementing the leadership changes at Flipkart. As the company gears up for this new phase, the reshuffling is poised to infuse fresh dynamism into its operations. The news was initially reported by exchange4media
