The launch of SportsSkill V.1 has already generated significant traction in the market, with over 30 institutes and academies across multiple sports signing up for the platform. The startup also plans to expand its reach to the global market in the last quarter of the year, following promising expressions of interest from international academies.
Abhinav Sinha, a lawyer turned sports entrepreneur, brings a wealth of hands-on experience to the company. A former international squash player and two times National Champion (Pro-Coach), Sinha has trained and mentored several national champions and top Indian players. He left his hedge fund job to pursue professional sports and has been part of the Indian squash circuit since 1999, playing the International PSA Tour since 2013. He also served as an Indian Squash Team Coach for the World Junior Championship 2019 and the British Juniors Open 2020.
Chetan Desai, with over 50 years of experience in lawn tennis, has held significant positions in sports management, FMCG, media and advertising, and garment exports. During his playing days, he was ranked No.6 in Men’s Singles at the National level and achieved a career-high ranking of No.310 in Singles on the ATP Tour rankings. He also won the First National Games Gold Medal (Olympic Format) in 1985.
