Renowned Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung has announced the appointment of their newest brand ambassador – South Korean professional footballer and Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur forward, Son Heung-Min.
On July 14, media reports highlighted Son sporting a sleek black smartwatch at Incheon International Airport. Confirming the speculations, Samsung revealed that Son was wearing the soon-to-be-launched Galaxy Watch6, scheduled for an official unveiling during the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event in late July.
According to the Korean Economic Daily, Samsung declared that Son would serve as their Galaxy brand ambassador. The brand conveyed that consumers could anticipate Son’s presence in future Samsung ventures.

Son is no novice when it comes to endorsing brands. He has previously been the face of several brands spanning various industries. For instance, TUMI, a luxury suitcase and travel bag brand, recently signed Son as their brand ambassador. In the campaign, Son can be seen posing with a stylish TUMI suitcase, with the caption “Essentially Beautiful. #TUMI19D.” Luxury fashion brand Burberry also enlisted Son as its brand ambassador.
Further extending his brand association portfolio, Son Heung-Min was chosen by clothing brand Calvin Klein as its brand ambassador. He announced the collaboration on his social media, featuring himself in Calvin Klein’s apparel, captioned, “I’m proud to work with such a legendary brand. Wearing 7 on the pitch, and CK off the pitch. [I am] proud to represent. #mycalvins”
This news follows the recent appointment of South Korean actor Hyun Bin as the new brand ambassador for the wellness lifestyle brand, Osim. The brand has released an exclusive interview with him and posted images on its website. The actor is currently endorsing Osim’s uDream Pro wellbeing chair, the brand’s flagship product.
