SAS, the leader in analytics software and services, has announced the appointment of Derek Seow as their new Head of ASEAN region.
In his new role, Derek will lead the ASEAN region team’s continuing drive toward growth and profitability. He will oversee streamlining operations by strengthening sub-regional cooperation, to ensure efficient business operations and revenue growth across all offices in the ASEAN region.
“This is an exciting time for SAS, with digital transformation opening up key opportunities in the region impacting all sectors including finance, government, healthcare and other sectors. The value of leveraging actionable data to improve business strategies is increasingly crucial,” he said.
“We are seeing the impact of analytics in solving the complex challenges of today, such as banking fraud scams or supply chain bottlenecks. We are also increasingly seeing how analytics can elevate and transform the customer experience for businesses, as well as improve delivery of public services for citizens in the region, amidst our other customer successes. I look forward to ensuring SAS continues to bring great value to our clients in the ASEAN region, as they harness data analytics to increase business efficiency and growth,” Derek added.
Derek will report to Amir Sohrabi, Regional Vice President based in Dubai, who said, “Derek possesses sound credentials as an inspirational business executive in the information services and software industries in Asia Pacific.”
