Sembcorp Industries, a leading provider of sustainable solutions, has announced that Ang Kong Hua will be stepping down as the company’s chairman and director on 20 April. The company has appointed Tow Heng Tan as his successor, who currently serves as the deputy chairman of Sembcorp.
The new role
Tow Heng Tan will take on the role of non-executive and non-independent chairman, starting from 20 April.Tow holds the positions of member of the Executive Committee (ExCo), Executive Resource & Compensation Committee (ERCC), and Nomination Committee in addition to this one (NC).He will assume his duties as deputy chairman on 21 April.
Non-executive and independent also leaves after 11 years
Tham Kui Seng, who served as a non-executive and independent director for 11 years, will also be leaving Sembcorp Industries. The company expressed its gratitude to both Ang and Tham for their invaluable contributions towards the development and growth of Sembcorp over the years.
