Singapore Land Group (SingLand) has partnered with TEC Create, a marketing service by The Executive Centre (TEC), to produce an engaging four-part video series that celebrates the rich history, development, and rejuvenation of the iconic 42-year-old Singapore Land Tower (SLT). This series offers viewers a unique glimpse into the past, present, and future of this historic landmark.
The first video, released today, takes viewers back in time to early 20th century Singapore, showcasing the bustling Raffles Place, the birthplace of Singapore’s commercial development. SLT, nestled in the heart of Singapore’s commercial hub, stands on the site of the former John Little building, home to Singapore’s oldest department store. In 1973, SingLand acquired and demolished the building to pave the way for the development of the Singapore Land Tower, which was completed in 1982. At a towering height of 198 meters, it was one of the tallest buildings in Raffles Place at that time.

Over the years, SLT has undergone several upgrades. However, a significant milestone was reached in 2021 when SingLand embarked on an ambitious rejuvenation project to transform this historic landmark into a next-generation office tower. The first video provides a behind-the-scenes look at SLT’s ongoing Asset Enhancement Initiative (AEI) and features insights from the masterminds behind this project, sharing their inspiration, vision, and innovative approaches to transforming the building extensively yet sustainably.
Subsequent videos in the series, scheduled for release later this year and early 2025, will highlight the building’s flexible spaces and amenities, personal stories from key figures involved in the transformation, and how art, greenery, and public areas are integrated to enhance vibrancy.
