A Strategic Move in Dubai
In a significant announcement, SPORTFIVE has unveiled its intentions to make a prominent mark in the world of cricket. They have officially inaugurated their new global cricket division, simultaneously strengthening their presence in South Asia and the Middle East. Spearheading this new venture will be Venu Nair, who has been appointed as the President of the division. Nair will also oversee operations as the Managing Director of South Asia and Middle East. Dubai, a global hub for sporting events and commerce, has been chosen as the base of operations for this new division, with Nair set to operate from SPORTFIVE’s newly established office there. He will function under the leadership of Seamus O’Brien, SPORTFIVE APAC President.
Venu Nair’s Impressive Legacy
Nair’s vast experience in the world of sports management is nothing short of commendable. He has previously cultivated and maintained pivotal relationships with high-caliber industry stakeholders. This includes associations with sports governing bodies like the International Cricket Council (ICC), Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Cricket South Africa (CSA), and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), to name a few. His extensive portfolio also boasts collaborations with global brands, media conglomerates, and iconic athletes such as the cricket maestro Sachin Tendulkar. Nair’s multifaceted role has seen him leading the brand advisory, golf, and football sectors particularly in the South Asia territory.
