Sydney, Australia – December 12, 2024: South by Southwest Sydney® (SXSW Sydney) has officially announced the dates for its much-anticipated 2025 edition. Following the resounding success of the 2024 event, SXSW Sydney 2025 will take place from October 13 to 19, spanning iconic precincts like Darling Harbour, Chippendale, and Broadway.
A Stellar 2024 Sets the Stage for a Grand 2025
The 2024 SXSW Sydney event marked a major milestone, bringing together over 92,000 unique attendees from 56 countries. The week-long event showcased:
- 1,400 conference sessions
- 95 screenings
- 315 performances
- 150 games and brand activations
These events drew over 300,000 visits across more than 1,600 sessions and events, cementing SXSW Sydney’s reputation as a hub for innovation and creativity.
Notable highlights from 2024 included the launch of National AI Month and an extended free programming schedule at Tumbalong Park, attracting 190,000 attendees over seven days.
