The 54-year-old legendary Malaysian rocker, Datuk Awie, had a Hari Raya Aidiladha to remember as he reunited with his children, Putra Ahmad Rezzki, 15, and Putri Qasseh Antasha, 13. These children, borne from his second marriage to Rozana Misbun, were estranged from him for eight long years. Awie and Rozana, who tied the knot in 2005 and parted ways in 2014, also have another son, Putra Ahmad Merrah, 16, who currently resides with Awie.

The seeds of reunion were sown when Qasseh reached out to Awie via text earlier this year, an interaction that brought tears of joy to the singer’s eyes. The reunion, however, was orchestrated by his current wife, Datin Sharifah Ladyana Syed Samsuddin.
Expressing gratitude towards Ladyana, Awie, in a Harian Metro interview, said, “I can’t thank my wife enough for doing a great job in bringing us all together. She made the arrangements without telling me. She saw my pain and knew what I was praying for. She became the go-between person and pulled off a wonderful family reunion in time for Hari Raya Aidiladha.”
Rozana was also a part of the festivities. To share his happiness, Awie posted pictures on Facebook featuring all his children. Apart from Rezzki, Qasseh, and Merrah, he is also the father to Putra Ahmad Andeeka, 3, Putri Aleeya Antasha, 23, and Putri Aleefa Antasha, 21. Aleeya and Aleefa are his daughters from his first marriage to singer Arni Nazira, and Andeeka is his son with current wife, Ladyana, whom he married in 2016.
