Lisa Houle is a former Los Angeles County prosecutor turned criminal defence attorney who dedicates her practice to representing law enforcement officers and other first responders in criminal investigations and prosecutions.
For 15 years, Lisa prosecuted some of LA’s most violent criminal defendants for rape, murder and domestic violence. While working on these cases, Lisa developed substantial professional relationships with first responders which now allows her to understand their career, culture and lifestyle. Lisa is routinely called upon to represent law enforcement officers and first responders who find themselves on the other side of the law in both state and federal prosecutions and investigations.
Lisa recognizes that undiagnosed and untreated PTSD, anxiety and depression from critical incidents and a demanding career are the biggest reasons that first responders get into legal trouble. For that reason, Lisa goes above and beyond to make sure that first responders get the help they need and are represented by someone who understands the system and truly cares about them.
