In a notable stride towards inclusivity, Hang Seng Bank and Mastercard have teamed up to introduce the “MMPOWER World Mastercard”. This innovative card revolutionizes the customer experience by providing enhanced rewards and benefits for everyday spending.
The MMPOWER card seamlessly combines aesthetic appeal, functionality, and inclusivity. It’s designed to be accessible, making it the first-ever Mastercard “Touch Card” in Hong Kong. A unique feature of this card is a distinct notch on its edge, designed to enable visually impaired or blind individuals to identify the card by touch.
The MMPOWER card brings a host of advantages, including the offer of +FUN Dollars for both online and offline spending. This encourages customers to utilize the benefits of cross-channel transactions to accrue rewards at an accelerated rate. Furthermore, cardholders have the option to personalize their privileges by selecting two out of five spending categories – mobile payment, dining, travel and foreign currency, electronics, and entertainment – where they can earn 5% +FUN Dollars.

She said, “Hang Seng Bank is a customer-centric institution, constantly innovating to provide an exhilarating retail spending experience… With the new MMPOWER Card, customers can earn +FUN Dollars more readily and spend them at over 7,400 designated online and offline outlets, making this card their ‘Everyday Power’.”
Helena Chen, managing director, Hong Kong and Macau, Mastercard, also expressed pleasure over their collaboration with Hang Seng Bank. She highlighted the significance of the MMPOWER card extending its customer base to a diverse range of lifestyles, beyond the younger demographic.
Mastercard is proud to launch the first credit card in Hong Kong featuring the unique Touch Card design, Chen added. She believes this will bring new possibilities for everyone, while especially benefiting visually impaired individuals.
