Singapore, August 6, 2024 – Global apparel retailer UNIQLO proudly reveals its official attire lineup for the Singapore para athletes competing in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. As the Official Clothing Partner for the Singapore Paralympics Team, UNIQLO will provide its innovative LifeWear apparel to the delegation and officials, including attire for the opening and closing ceremonies, athlete village, and travel during the Games.
LifeWear: Designed for Function and Comfort
The LifeWear collection, curated specifically for this event, emphasizes function and comfort while showcasing modern and sophisticated looks that represent Singapore and blend seamlessly with Paris’s cityscape. Highlights of the collection include:
- Daniel Chan, Shooting Para Sport, in Travel Wear
- Sophie Soon, Para Swimming, in Village Wear
- Toh Wei Soong, Para Swimming, in Ceremony Wear
Sophie Soon, a para swimmer, shared, “Considering that we’re going to Paris in the summer, I expect the weather to be quite hot. I definitely want to be free of sweat, and with this material, I think it will help with our comfort levels. I see myself wearing more items from the DRY-EX collection, and I wouldn’t mind wearing this shirt in other colours because it’s something that’s so comfortable to wear every day.”
Toh Wei Soong, also representing Singapore for para swimming, added, “I love its lightness and airiness, which will be great for summer in Paris. I’m looking forward to wearing it at the opening ceremony. Its colour scheme is really stylish, and I think it’ll get Singapore some attention.”
