In the era of digital banking, UOB Malaysia is making a significant stride with the introduction of its revitalized mobile banking application, UOB TMRW. Utilizing advanced technologies such as data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning, the app strives to deliver an easier, smarter, and highly personalized banking experience for all its customers.
What makes the UOB TMRW app stand out is its customer-centric design. It boasts an array of innovative and multi-faceted features in investments, payments, and rewards, tailoring to each user’s unique needs and preferences. The app provides customers with an at-a-glance overview of their investment portfolios, including essential data like mark-to-market values and real-time performances, making wealth management highly convenient and mobile.

Another compelling feature is Rewards+, which gives customers real-time access to their reward points and the ability to redeem UOB coupons instantly. Customers can redeem points for travel miles, products, vouchers listed in the UOB Rewards catalogue, or even offset their credit card purchases. These coupons can also be used to enjoy discounts with participating local and international merchants.
In the coming months, UOB plans to further enrich the app with a complete suite of self-service features for it’s cards. This will allow users to perform various card services directly via the app, such as card activations, temporary credit limit increases, installment payment applications, card replacements, and balance conversions.
UOB Malaysia’s Managing Director and personal financial services country head, Ronnie Lim, shared that Malaysians exhibit increased trust in digital transactions carried out via mobile apps, especially post-pandemic. Lim stressed UOB’s commitment to harnessing their digital capabilities to ensure a hyper-personalized digital banking experience for their customers. UOB TMRW is a testament to this commitment, providing insights and solutions that closely align with customer needs and life goals.
The bank’s journey into mobile banking began with UOB Mighty, launched in 2017, which transformed smartphones into digital wallets. Since then, the bank has consistently improved the app, notably integrating AI with top-tier fintech to assist customers in making more informed financial decisions. It also pioneered an end-to-end digital savings account opening feature on the app, making customer onboarding hassle-free.
For existing users of UOB Mighty, the app will be automatically updated to UOB TMRW. New users can download the refreshed app from Google Play, the App Store, and the Huawei App Gallery.
