Vietjet, a leading aviation company, recently launched a new member to its fleet, the VN-A814 aircraft. What makes this addition special is the adornment of Vietnam’s tourism symbol, “Vietnam – Timeless Charm,” as a result of Vietjet’s sponsorship agreement with the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism. This initiative is aimed at propelling Vietnamese tourism and sharing the country’s unique charm with the world.
The Flag-Bearer for Vietnam’s Rich Culture and Tourism
The new VN-A814 undertook its inaugural flight on July 12 and is all set to operate both domestically and internationally. In its capacity as a cultural ambassador, this wide-body aircraft will champion Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage and enticing tourist attractions to global travelers. This follows Vietjet’s tradition of featuring Vietnam’s tourism and Ho Chi Minh City’s tourism symbols on previous A320 and A321 aircraft.
A Glimpse of Vietnam on the Malaysia-Vietnam Route
Travelers flying between Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City will have the unique opportunity to view the new Vietnamese tourism symbol as the A330 aircraft services this route daily. This regular schedule offers passengers greater flexibility in travel plans, thus broadening the bridge between Malaysia and Vietnam.
A Flying Showcase of Vietnam’s Vibrant Culture
The distinct red and yellow colors of the Vietnamese flag embellish Vietjet’s fleet, complementing the harmonious tune of “Hello Vietnam” and the compelling tourism symbols. This aesthetic presentation is bound to pique the interest of more global tourists, drawing them to the culturally rich, historically significant, and inherently charming nation of Vietnam.
Delivering a Green Message Alongside Cultural Richness
Not just a cultural emissary, Vietjet’s aircrafts also relay potent messages about environmental conservation through slogans like “I love my Fatherland.” Over time, the Vietjet fleet has become a familiar sight to global travelers, gracing airports throughout Asia and Europe, and serving as a testament to Vietnam’s warm and hospitable nature.

Expanding Fleet and Horizons
Currently, Vietjet operates seven A330 aircraft, with an ambitious plan to grow its 87-strong fleet by adding nine Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft this year. This expansion aims to retain Vietjet’s market leadership in passenger volume and efficiency in Vietnam. The A330 aircraft featuring Vietnam’s tourism symbol will fly Vietjet passengers to multiple destinations, including Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, China, South Korea, Japan, India, Kazakhstan, Australia, and beyond.
