COVID-19: Commentary Attributed To Beverly Chen, Marketing Director, APAC For AppsFlyer

Did you know that mobile apps in the Entertainment and Gaming categories have seen surges in China?

“Looking at the preliminary impact of coronavirus to APAC’s mobile app marketplace, it should come as no surprise that the travel category is hit with -22 per cent mobile transactions within a 20 day vs 20 day period. These are indicative numbers, but I wouldn’t call them alarming.

Interestingly, on the flip side, mobile apps in the Entertainment and Gaming categories have seen surges in China with +62% and +47%, respectively.

This only shows that in this genuinely mobile-first, often mobile-only region, there may be some unanticipated challenges, but growth opportunities will always abound.”
