Award winning #legend has created an exclusive campaign for luxury luggage brand Rimowa to launch their new colourways for their Essential range. “We are immensely proud of our collaborative campaign with Rimowa featuring their new Cactus Green and Desert Rose collection. We wanted to create something unique and captivating. The result is a series of surreal and dreamy stop motion animations.” said Angelina Teng, business partnership manager at Legend Publishing.
“I have been pondering on this idea of spinning people 360 degrees in front of the camera for a while, as it took me some time to convince myself it was possible. It was difficult to execute, but #legend and Rimowa made it happen! In the end, the movement fits really well with Rimowa’s travel concept,” said Frank Nitty, art director of the campaign.
Joining Rimowa’s Essential range is the Desert Rose and Cactus colourways, both of which are inspired by the North American Mojave Desert. Known as the driest desert in North America, the Mojave Desert occupies 47,877 sq mi and is most known by the presence of Joshua Trees.
With the astounding natural beauty of the expansive Mojave in mind, the series of stop motion animations features earthy palettes that echo with the subdued and elegant natural shades of the latest collections. With a playful spin, the creative concept highlights the quintessence of travel via the spinning action of the swing wheels.
Evoking a nostalgic desire to travel and explore the world, the dynamic visuals act as a nod to fellow travellers the world over who are longing for the next escape. While the only constant is change, the world keeps spinning and so does Rimowa’s luggage, which will always be the indispensable travel companion of fellow travellers, awaiting for your return to the world of wonders and adventures.
